Dr. Baktiyar Soltabayev Awarded the Academic Title of Associate Professor

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Baktiyar Soltabayev, Head of the Advanced Sensors Laboratory at National Laboratory Astana (NLA), Nazarbayev University, has been officially awarded the academic title of Associate Professor (Docent) in the scientific field of Materials Engineering (20500) by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The decision was formalized through Order No. 1032, dated November 8, 2024, recognizing Dr. Soltabayev’s significant contributions to sensor technology, materials science, and advanced engineering research. This prestigious title reflects his dedication to scientific excellence and his outstanding work in developing highly sensitive gas sensors for environmental monitoring and industrial applications.
Dr. Soltabayev’s achievements have played a crucial role in strengthening PI “National Laboratory Astana” and Nazarbayev University’s research reputation and advancing Kazakhstan’s position in global scientific innovation. His leadership in cutting-edge sensor technology continues to impact multiple fields, including air quality monitoring, industrial safety, and sustainable development.
