The Laboratory works in the field of development of biosensors for biomedical diagnostics and consists of an established, young and multidisciplinary team of researchers.  Laboratory focuses on the research of optical, electrochemical biosensors for detection of biological agents. Also, nanostructures like iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles (MNP) and quantum dots are studied, synthesized and characterized as a part of the biosensor projects.

Research directions 

  • A biosensor for the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis on the basis of the impedance spectroscopy
  • The development of a biosensor for the detection of cancer biomarkers panel
  • Development aptasensor for detection of breast cancer stem cells
  • Biochemical characterization of DNA repair proteins and aberrant DNA repair pathways
